I think my favorite has to be "su root". If you understand that, I wouldn't let you near my Linux box (that is, if I still had one).

As much as I love ol' Tux, when you are constantly teaching PC based applications and need to work on them, it makes it hard to find the time to work with Linux.
Yes I know I could do dual boot, but I just don't have the time to play with it anymore.
Before the holy war starts, I would like to remind the Linux users: Don't get cocky!!!(this means you CIS 286). We've been lucky, but the day may come when Linux is under attack more frequently. Remember the Morris Internet Worm!
Well I guess it's possible. Just like Professor Cameron said, "security is an illusion" But security wise, we can be safer. Yet again Linux is being widespread among so many distributions. It is obvious now to see how convenient and useful it is to have Linux around (even at a LEAST possible way). But yes it will be saddened to watch Linux go through the same impact as Windows have gone throughout the years. So yes, we must be aware for any vulnerabilities of our favorite operating systems such as Linux.
When I think of Microsoft I think "root kit" or "Blue screen of death!!!!!!!"
"root kits" originated with *nix boxes long before Windows. Early on, circa 93-95, the more serious malware activity was actually aimed at *nix and DOS since that was what most of the Universities were running. Relatively low damage malware like macro viruses infected Windows GUI.

Thanks for this post. Although it started out as humor, it sparked some real interesting debate online and in the classroom this evening.
I don't know what everyone is talking about. I love Windows..... when run in a virtual box. That way when it goes down it does not effect me.
SOMEONE PLEASE TOW MICROSOFT ASAP!!!
