Interesting Article: Teens arrested in alleged MySpace extortion scheme

MySpace is an interesting idea. It's a social networking site, but there are some very odd uses people have found for it. I've heard of people issuing threats, getting fired, and other such things, but this article is one I had never heard of. Basically, two teens allegedly tried to extort the site for $150,000.

Two New York teenagers have been arrested and charged with attempting to extort $150,000 from MySpace, the popular community Web site. MySpace discovered the intrusion earlier this year and blocked it. The Los Angeles-based company also reported the incident to authorities. During the course of the investigation, threats were made that unless $150,000 was paid, new exploit code would be released, according to the statement.
